TERMS & CONDITIONS

By purchasing our packages you fully understand the following Scotia Fishing terms and conditions.

Payment

Payment can be made by debit/credit cards using out payment system, paypal or bank/wire transfers.

We require payment in full to book your day, 50% of which will be non refundable unless otherwise agreed (see cancellations for details)

We accept all major credit or debit cards.

Bookings

When a booking is made it is on the understanding that you have fully read and accepted our terms and conditions of business.

All bookings will be confirmed via Email.

All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible paying adult/guardian.

It is a clear booking condition that you fully accept the hazards involved in the fishing environment and your engagement with potentially dangerous activities.

Cancellations

If Scotia Fishing makes the decision to cancel a coaching or guiding session due to extreme weather conditions beyond their control, for example very high winds making casting dangerous, or water conditions/levels on rivers in spate, or for any other reason; then a full refund minus costings will be given or an alternate date offered, whichever is acceptable to the client.

Almost all fishing guides are self employed and rely on this as their main source of income. Upon booking your day the guide cannot accept any further work opportunities on that day, therefore cancelling your date seriously limits their chance of earning money on that day.

If a client wishes to cancel a booking a minimum of 60 days notice must be given via email. All cancellations will involve an administration fee of £100 plus any non recoverable costings.

If less than 60 days notice all cancellations by the client are non-refundable.

Any rearranged bookings after a cancellation must take place within a twelve month period and will incur re-booking fee of £100 plus any additional costings.

Cancelling of multi guided fishing days, pre-made fishing breaks or packages, regardless of duration of notice provided will incur a refund (when possible) minus any costings incurred by Scotia Fishing plus a £100 administration fee.

If fishing permits, catering, accommodations or any other arrangements have been made for a client’s booking, which has resulted in costs to Scotia Fishing which cannot be recovered from any third party supplier and that booking is cancelled for any reason then those costs will still be chargeable and will be recovered from the client.

Any rebookings from COVID-19 cancellations will be allowed one reschedule date free of charge. Any further reschedules will incur a £150 rebooking fee.

If conditions are unsuitable on the river we will do our best to reschedule an alternative fishing on the day. This may incur an extra permit costs.

All deposits are non-refundable.

COVID-19 Cancellations.

Booked/Paid trips cancelled due to Covid-19  up until 31st May 2020 will be allowed full credit applied to a rescheduled date within 36 months.

All bookings cancelled due to travel restrictions caused by COVID-19 will receive a credit minus any non-recoverable costings to reschedule within 36 months.

Any bookings cancelled where-by no travel restrictions are in place and therefore the decision to cancel is a voluntary measure, no refund will occur.

All original COVID-19 cancellations will be allowed an initial free rebooking inside 36 months of original date. Any additional/further reschedules following this will be subject to a £150 rebooking fee.

Any rescheduled dates that incur with any additional risen costings to third party suppliers eg. fishing permits & hotels will all be recoverable by the client.

We advise all clients purchase the appropriate travel insurance to cover them financially under all circumstances upon booking their trip. Scotia Fishing will assist with any travel insurance claims.

Please see the NHS advice for more information on COVID-19.

Liability

Scotia Fishing cannot be held liable for any conditions out with our reasonable control.

When a refund is given due to cancellation by Scotia Fishing, the liability will only extend to the value of the coaching or guiding session that has been cancelled and not to any additional costs incurred by the client.

The information on this website is reviewed and kept up to date on a regular basis, however, some changes may occur. No liability can be accepted for any errors, omissions or deletions.

Scotia Fishing, staff or any contractor working in conjunction with us shall not be liable for any illness, personal injury or death caused out with our control or by not adhering or listening to clear safety briefings and procedures. However this does not apply to any negligence on the behalf of Scotia Fishing.

When appropriate spectating is possible. All spectators will be charged a fee and cannot participate or use any fishing equipment.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are refundable up to 28 days after purchase incurring a 50% administration fee and any non refundable costs i.e fishing permits.

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the day of purchase. Honouring vouchers out-with this timeframe will result in additional costs in relation to the price paid and accommodating for annual price inflations.

All gift vouchers are of monetary value.
